CSS in Business Journal- Google, Clean Power Finance Start $75M Solar Fund

Google Inc.    and Clean Power Finance    said Tuesday they have partnered in creating a $75 million fund expected to finance residential solar power projects.

According to a prepared statement, the initial investment in San Francisco-based Clean Power Finance's white label financing solution marks the second fund available to its qualified installers such as SunLogic, California Solar Systems and American Vision Solar, which in turn brand and market it to homeowners.

The Mountain View-based search engine giant (NASDAQ:GOOG) has invested more than $850 million in the renewable energy sector, as of Tuesday's announcement.
